Communications & public relations
Make the message clear enough to move people.
I build communications systems that help leaders say what matters, help teams understand what changes, and help external audiences see why the organization deserves attention and trust.
Turn strategy into language people can repeat.
I have advised executives on brand voice, company narrative, talking points, announcements, sales messaging, and the communications choices surrounding growth and change. At Boostability, that meant leading a company-wide messaging overhaul. At Mesa Systems, it meant creating one strategic voice across four companies and seven operating locations without erasing what made each business distinct.
Earn the attention. Protect the meaning.
My communications career began in a high-tech PR agency and grew into in-house leadership across consumer, publishing, wellness, technology, and professional services brands. I have built media strategies, written and distributed announcements, prepared spokespeople, fielded inquiries, coordinated agencies, and secured national and trade coverage while keeping the business story intact.
I have also established crisis and sensitive-communications processes, giving organizations a clearer path when the stakes are high and the message cannot be improvised.
Communication is an operating system—not a press release.
The message has to survive the journey from the executive room to employees, partners, sales teams, media, customers, and the market. My job is to make that journey coherent without making every audience sound the same.
Keep complex organizations speaking with one credible voice.
At MonaVie, I brought public relations functions in-house and coordinated communications policy, training, agencies, and message consistency across 18 international markets, 500 employees, and a nearly one-million-person independent-partner network. At Deseret Book, I created company-wide social and communications training and an internal communications club to keep employees connected to brand strategy and key messages.
Build the story before the spotlight arrives.
I have led communications around product launches, authors and artists, major events, trade shows, executive appearances, and company-defining market entries. At Deseret Book, I managed two publicists, two event professionals, and up to two interns while owning the department budget, company PR, and social media. The team supported more than 80 integrated campaigns annually—including book signings, CD launches, movie releases, Tabernacle Choir events, and marketing and promotion for Choir products.
I also oversaw the Choir’s social platforms and trained Deseret Book authors and artists to represent their work effectively through social media and public-facing communications. At Cambeo, PR, pre-event storytelling, VIP outreach, the live experience, and post-event follow-up were designed as one launch narrative.
The audience changes.
The discipline holds.
From corporate reputation to social communities, and from a sensitive internal message to a national media moment, clarity and trust are the work.
Executive counsel, message architecture, cross-functional alignment, and consistent voice across growth and change.
National media, global partner communications, internal training, social governance, and public-facing brand stewardship.
Media relations, events, direct outreach, announcements, sales coordination, and memorable public moments.
A clear message gives people something to believe—and something to do.
